Cybersmart – Explain Everything Recording

We had so much fun in this session. mr Hughes taught us how to use the record feature in ExplainEverything. When we use the record button our voices, and pictures can be recorded to create videos.

In this session we learned showed how people great each other; we took pictures of ourselves and our teachers/friends, drew a speech bubble with a greeting and recorded our voices saying those greetings. Check out these great videos from Stella and Ian…

Cybersmart – Kawa of Care

Today we began our Cybersmart Lessons with Mr Hughes. He will be visiting with us every week to teach us new and interesting things we can do with our iPads.

We showed him how we look after our iPads in the classroom. We talked about how to hold our iPads in a “hug hold” and why it is important to keep food, drinks, and dirty hands awayfrom the screen.

Check out this awesome drawing that Anakava did; she showed us what a hug hold looks like, and even included her school uniform. Isn’t she talented?

We hope you enjoy keeping up with all of the cool learning we will be doing! Please, leave a positive comment on our blog that we can share with the students!

Commenting on movies

Today for our Cybersmart lesson, we were commenting on movies from the Manaiakalani Film Festival last year. It was awsesome to watch the movies. They were funny and cool. We also had to record our comments in our EE projects.

Here is Caitlyn’s recording for a movie she watched.

Writing on Explain Everything

Today we did our writing on our ipads. First we added pictures about our story. Then we recorded ourselves talking about our story. The last thing we did was write our story. We had a great time writing our stories today.

Here are Maxwell’s, Anshu and Esther’s writing.

Creating in Explain Everything

Today for Cybersmart with Mrs Tofa, we had a lot of fun creating in Explain Everything. Mrs Tofa wrote the animals on the board and we had to insert the picture of the animal from clipart.

We also took a photo of ourselves using the camera for our projects.

Here is Esther’s project. She also recorded herself talking about her work.
